Tonight I wanted to share a few activities that I found on Pinterest for Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birthday. What did we do before Pinterest?!?
First is this cute activity from What the Teacher Wants.
Here's a poem from Just 4 Teachers: Sharing Across Borders.
Next we have some super cute Martin Luther King, Jr. portraits from The Crafty Crow. This site is a must to check out!
I love this idea of teaching diversity. The kids drew a picture of their dreams, from Little Miss Glamour Goes to Kindergarten.
I love this idea from Mrs. Moore's Busy Bees.
Then there are several freebies from TPT...they are posting very small so here are the links to the author's stores! :)
Twelve page mini-unit from Erin Eberhart.
A poem called "Freedom, Freedom" from The Book Princess.
My MLK speech writing paper from Lidia Barbosa.
I hope you can use some of these ideas in your classroom. Now I have to go watch One Tree Hill! I'm so excited another season is coming on! And please say a prayer for me tomorrow....I have an interview! I'm really nervous!
***Hop on Over to Denise Clement's blog Rainbows Within Reach to link up your plans for teaching about MLK or diversity....I just did!
